back to 1890...quite an adventure to go to the beach

1950 ..I was a little girl but it's not my photo...
some bathing costumes were knitted.
it was so heavy when wet and full of sand...and so difficult to dry...

modern times...

more comfort...

but also more sun-burns !!!
